So, if you've been following my channel, The Remaster, you've noticed that I've been uploading restorations of the original audio from many Nickelodeon bumpers, such as SNICK, the WBRB/NBTTS/Up Next bumpers, etc. Now, you might be wondering, where did I get this audio? Well, if you've been following the site since the beginning, you may remember the RTTTA post I made on the Nickelodeon Production Music CDs, which you can click here to read. No, I don't own the actual CDs. I actually got the tracks from a private tracker, and many other YouTubers in the vintage Nickelodeon circle have as well. Now, we're not exactly supposed to upload these tracks to the public, however. But, the reasons I have through the restoration videos are:
1) So that other YouTubers in the vintage Nickelodeon circle can make good use of the tracks for their videos.
2) Most importantly, for preservation.
In all honesty, I've been tempted to just make a Mediafire or MEGA download link to the tracks since the very beginning, just so it's preserved and open to the public for download so it's not, well, lost. The only thing holding me back is because I'm not so sure if the original uploader on the private tracker would appreciate that. However, I might just find a workaround soon, because these gems are what I call "endangered relics", in which they are at risk of becoming lost again if, say, the private tracker is shut down for some reason. The whole purpose of this site is to preserve Nickelodeon history, after all. Anyhow, this is just a small clarification on my audio restorations that I wanted to share. Stay tuned!
